WRL is passionate about Auckland city’s commercial identity and its acclaimed reputation for modern living.

• Auckland remains among the world’s top cities. It is internationally recognized as an excellent city and in 2008 was ranked the fifth best city in the world to live in – aaccording to the William M Mercer Worldwide Quality of Life Survey.
• More than one quarter of the Fortune 500 companies have a branch in Auckland
• Auckland’s CBD has a land area of some 433 hectares, similar in size to Sydney’s CBD and double that of Wellington’s CBD
• Auckland is New Zealand’s largest city with a population of approximately 1.30 million, nearly one third of the country’s population
• The CBD has over 17,900 residents living in about 8,290 households.  This represents 4.43% of Auckland city’s population.  Some 84% of the CBD residents are below 44 years old.
• The number of residents in Auckland’s CBD has moré than doubled since 2001
• About 78,000 people work in the CBD which accounts for 26% of all jobs in Auckland
• There are about 9,500 businesses in the CBD, with the largest business sectors being finance and insurance, property and business services.
• The Tallest building is the Sky Tower at 328 metres – the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere

Team

Ray Atkinson

Ray has had extensive experience in commercial real estate since 2001.

Prior to that he managed his own interior design company for a lengthy period.  His company was highly respected in the industry and completed a number of major commercial and residential projects.

An invitation to try something different in 2001 resulted in Ray making the decision to take up a commercial real estate agent’s position.

Ray brings a wealth of experience and people skills to his role as a commercial real estate broker for WRL.

John Mahoney

After successfully owning and operating a number of family businesses in Auckland, John has been involved in Real Estate since 1997.

An earlier career in export marketing over a 20 year period with major international companies required considerable travel allied to thye trading desks.

This career offered a serious training ground for the negotiating and people skills necessary in commercial real estate.

John is a transplanted Southlander and has lived in Auckland for 30 years.
